When weather conditions were not too severe last week; good results for Atlanto Scandic herring, - an increasing number of vessels into the North Sea herring fisheries, giving a better result, - and still some mackerel.

New prices for raw material for meal & oil purposes from 6th of November 2017

It has been a change in the fishmeal indicator of 2,65 % and in the fish oil indicator of 6,38 %

New schedule for auctions

As the period for summer time is passed, the last auction for consumption purposes now is from 9.00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Other auctions’ timing is unchanged.

Last week; 22.000 MT of mackerel and close to 25.000 MT of Atlanto Scandic herring.

The mackerel season close to being finished, while the season for Atlanto scandic herring now is well started.

In periods, high activity for the mackerel, some North Sea herring, - for indirect consumption normal activity, - and a main part of the coastal sprat quota taken in the Sognefjord.

A “slow” start for mackerel and high sea vessels, - better for coastal vessels. Still some North Sea herring, - and five Norwegian vessels have now fulfilled their quota for high sea sprat.

Increasing volume of North Sea herring, - positive for horse mackerel catching, and mackerel just along the coast.
